On Wednesday April 11th, students and staff at École R. W. Bobby Bend School wore pink to celebrate International Day of Pink. Pink Day is a day where communities across the country, and across the world, can unite in celebrating diversity and raising awareness to stop all forms of bullying.
The school participated in a dance, watched a movie on the topic of bullying, and attended a special assembly. Video messages were presented by the local RCMP, Mayor of Stonewall, local firefighters, and the RWBB Parent Advisory Council. Students had pink cupcakes with a pink drink (provided by Royal Bank Stonewall Branch). Mrs. Sanche, the school guidance councilor planned and organized the day.
