About the Interlake School Division:
The Interlake School Division’s vision is to prepare today’s learner for tomorrow. Our mission is to enable each student to realize their full potential as a contributing and responsible member of society.
We believe contributing and responsible members of society are literate, numerate, and committed to the well-being of themselves and others. Through continuous improvement, we work to ensure every student has access to high-quality learning opportunities that are accessible, equitable, and responsive to their needs.
Our Schools and Communities:
The Interlake School Division (ISD) serves approximately 3,000 students and employs nearly 500 people in a variety of professional and support roles. Located in Manitoba’s Interlake region, just north of Winnipeg, ISD covers approximately 3,000 square kilometres and serves a diverse range of rural communities.
ISD includes 13 public schools, eight colony schools, and The Infinity Program (TIP), an off-campus program. Our schools offer learning opportunities from Kindergarten through Grade 12, with a variety of programs and experiences that support students’ academic, social, and personal growth.
Programming includes French Immersion in Stonewall, a range of curricular and extracurricular opportunities, and student support services that help meet diverse learning needs. Students also benefit from access to specialized services, including speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology, and social work.
Leadership and Continuous Improvement:
The Board of Trustees provides leadership for ISD by making informed decisions, setting broad goals, and establishing Board Governance Policies grounded in the division’s values and provincial requirements. The Superintendents’ Department leads the implementation of these priorities and supports the day-to-day work of schools.
ISD is committed to ongoing learning and improvement. By working together with students, staff, families, and communities, we strive to strengthen learning opportunities and help every student realize their full potential.
