During the pandemic our opportunities to meet, learn, and grow together was limited. Our wellness goal this year was designed to give our school community the opportunity to come together in school-wide wellness days once a month.  During these days students young and old have had the opportunity to be exposed to new activities and wellness pursuits. Our older students have had the opportunity to act as leaders and make real connections with students in the younger grades. Staff have developed stronger bonds with each other and students due to the make-up of the groups and activities. Our monthly wellness days were:

October – Nature Hike at Bird’s Hill Park
November – Dance
December – Holly Jolly Jog
January – Swimming Program
February – Winter Olympics
March – Holistic Wellness
April – Jump Rope for Heart
May – Bike Rodeo
June – Fun in the Sun Day

Visitors to our school comment on how we feel like “one big family”. Our work around these wellness days builds on this notion, and contributes positively to our student’s overall well-being and the community as a whole.
