Warren Collegiate’s Ethics Bowl Team Earns Second Place at Provincials

Ethics Bowl is a collaborative and competitive team event where students discuss ethical dilemmas. It is a structured debate-like competition, but unlike traditional debates, the emphasis is on understanding the complexities of ethical issues rather than simply winning an argument. The W.C.I Ethics Bowl team came in second place at provincials which earned them a place at Nationals. Students competed against other teams in the country.

Presence and Engagement Learning Network

School Social Workers Jocelyn Mitchell and Vicky Brzuskiewicz facilitated a learning network for grade 5–12 school counselors. This network focused on fostering student resiliency and the Circle of Courage, where counselors had the opportunity to explore and create their own assessments based on the needs identified in their schools. New Movement Room at Warren Elementary School

Stony Mountain School Wins the Recycle Everywhere’s “Cleanest Playground Challenge”

Congratulations to Ms. Stewart’s grade 5/6 combined class who won the Recycle Everywhere’s “Cleanest Playground Challenge”. The province-wide challenge took place in October and students participated by completing a town/school yard clean up.
