Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a Canadian rating system promoted by the Canadian Green Building Council to encourage the construction of more sustainable buildings. Originally thought to be shooting for Silver LEED Status, Woodlands School earned 62 total points in seven environmental categories, pushing the school to Gold LEED Status.  A plaque and a banner acknowledging this accomplishment will be unveiled at the Woodlands Farewell Celebration on Monday, June 25th.

Woodlands School is the 10th school in Manitoba in the K-9 category to be LEED Gold Certified.
