Throughout the school year the Woodlands Grade 7 & 8 students have been meeting with residents from Oak Park Lodge & Oak Park Estates in order to foster intergenerational relationships through a variety of activities and conversations. The program culminated with a visit to the school for tour and a series of entertaining presentations by the students.
On April 12th the Grades 5 to 8 students travelled to the Manitoba Archives to view a limited showing of many documents, maps, letters, war correspondence, and read about personal stories from the Canada’s defining battle at Vimy Ridge. The Manitoba Archives welcomed us as the only class to attend this event which was for only one day.
