On Thursday, April 19, there was a buzz in the air at Warren Elementary! Student actors and singers from grades 5 through 8 had an opportunity to perform the musical Mr. Bell’s Magnificent Ringing Machine. The performers, their parents and school staff all worked hard to make the spring musical a great success! We had a full house for both the afternoon and evening shows and thank the community for the support of the arts.

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is a Canadian rating system promoted by the Canadian Green Building Council to encourage the construction of more sustainable buildings. Originally thought to be shooting for Silver LEED Status, Woodlands School earned 62 total points in seven environmental categories, pushing the school to Gold LEED Status. On April 11th at 7:00 p.m. Interlake School Division and Canadian Parents for French, Stonewall Chapter held the 5th Annual French Oratorical Competition. There were a total of 37 students who delivered speeches in French and participated in 7 categories. The finalists from each category will be representing our school division at the provincial competition on May 5th at the Université de Saint Boniface.
