On November 5th, the Grade 7 & 8 students from Balmoral school attended the 8th annual No Stone Left Alone ceremony at the Transcona cemetery in Winnipeg.  The students each stood at the foot of grave of Canadian veteran.  The students placed a rock of remembrance on the top of the headstone, and a poppy on a Canadian flag at the foot of each grave.  Students stood in reflection through the last post, O’Canada and through speeches from different dignitaries.  The students then gave a salute of remembrance and of thanks to the veterans in attendance and the many that we remember on November 11th.  Students as well had the opportunity to speak with family members of many of the veterans that they were remembering.  Students then headed to the Stonewall Field of Honour and placed a poppy at each headstone as well to honour our local veterans.
